Changes coming in 2010

Change is ever present in your Pacific Northwest CFC.  Please let us know if you have any questions about how these changes impact your organization.
  1. Approved Mergers - OPM CFC Operations approved two mergers this past Winter that grew our Pacific NW CFC by four counties.
        • Jackson and Josephine counties in Southern Oregon (formerly Rogue Valley CFC)
        • Grays Harbor and Pacific counties in SW Washington (formerly Greater Olympic Peninsula CFC)
  1. Payout Process - starting with the 2009 campaign payouts, charities will receive payments in one of two ways:
        • One time payout - if your charity receives less than a certain $ value, you will receive a one-time payout.  The one-time payout threshold is evaluated every year, but the last two years it has been around $2,500 (subject to LFCC approval).
        • Quarterly payout - if your charity received more than the one-time payout threshold, then you will receive quarterly payments.
        • 2009 Campaign Payout Schedule: March 2010 , July2010, October 2010 and February/March 2011

Campaign Celebrations & Award Recipients

Federal employees who are CFC volunteers put in countless hours of time and effort running fundraising campaigns...this effort does not go unnoticed.  Every year we honor their leadership and dedication by holding CFC Awards Celebrations.  This year we held three celebrations in the following cities:
  • Portland, Oregon - January 21, 2010
  • Bend, Oregon - January 27, 2010
  • Eugene, Oregon - January 29, 2010

Prior to the celebrations, Federal Agencies were nominated for CFC awards and nominations were vetted by the CFC Leadership Team in one of two categories:
    • Chair Award - Winning a Chair’s Award is not just about dollars and cents.  It’s about running a fun campaign that involves team members, has leadership support and other attributes like 100% ask.  It shows that the Coordinator and their team ran a best practice campaign.
    • Innovation Award - Winning an Innovation Award illustrates that the campaign used a unique and/or creative campaign strategy.

And, the winners are...
