CFC Specialist Position DescriptionOverall purpose of this role To provide leadership and support for assigned agency campaigns and their coordinators, assisting the Pacific Northwest Combined Federal Campaign in its fundraising efforts. Time Commitment The CFC Specialist is asked to commit 10-20 hours per week between September and December 2009, attend a Specialist training session, attend a coordinator training session, and attend periodic meetings with the LFCC and PCFO. Requirements This position requires a positive, well-organized, flexible, team-oriented federal employee with a commitment to the CFC. Specialists must be able to multi-task, deal with challenges, learn new concepts, and communicate clearly. Responsibilities
Training One day of initial training will be provided to CFC Specialists. Topics will include: Overview and History of the CFC, Local CFC Results, CFC Specialist Responsibilities, Campaign Management, Campaign Materials and Tools, Pledge Pick-up and Processing, a United Way Office Tour, Campaign Events, and Account Assignments. Additional training will be provided at Specialist meetings and/or one-on-one sessions as necessary. Staff Supervision and Support During their assignment, the CFC Specialist will report to and be supported by the PCFO CFC Administrative Manager. Oregon Federal Executive Board and PCFO staff will also be available. CFC Specialists will have access to a workspace in the PCFO CFC Administrative Manager’s office, if necessary. Parking validation is available for up to four hours per day, and other parking and mileage expenses will be reimbursed. Completion of Service Each
CFC Specialist will receive a written performance appraisal at the
completion
of the assignment. Additionally, a personal letter and performance
appraisal
will be sent to each CFC Specialist’s supervisor upon
request. CFC Specialists
are recognized publicly at the CFC Celebration Event, in the Annual
Report, and
on the CFC website. |
